Spotlight ✨ Sunday ✨ // Silvermines

Before I start Spotlight Sunday I should probably tell you what it's about. There are many incredible places, people and products that I want to show you all and I'm depending on my commitment to this blog and my usual good time keeping skills to uploading this segment every Sunday. These things could be hidden gems, people that inspire me or products I adore but I'll try keep it as varied as possible.

And what better place to start with than somewhere I spent many summers when I was a child; the Silvermines (in particular the Nature Trail)

If you're not familiar with the Silvermines here's a few facts; it's a village in North Tipperary (Ireland) and is named after, you guessed it, one of the minerals mined in the mountains there - silver.

I chose the Nature Trail for Spotlight Sunday because, unless you're from the Silvermines (or surrounding towns), it's not that well known of. The Nature Walk is a 5/10 minute relaxing walk with a river running alongside the walking path.

What I love about the Nature Trail is that although its near a village and many main roads, when you're immersed in it you feel like you could be in a forestry. Provided benches dotted along the trail are ideal spots for picnics or even just a place to sit and think (especially as you will get 0% coverage). My advise when visiting the nature trail is to first climb the 2.5km Knockanroe hill (also known as Step) where, when the sky is clear, you can see the Shannon, Lough Derg and the peak of Keeper Hill, aswell as surrounding small villages and towns. Once you've returned from the climb follow the Nature Trail until it's end and enjoy a well-deserved lunch on one of the picnic benches.

If you're anything like me and snap-happy with your iPhone prepare to come home with about 32487254924 photos of the pretty views.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first Spotlight Sunday and I just want to thank all of you who have shown such love and support in the past days. You're kind words have really given me the drive to give blogging a go. I'm so new to all this but I'm sure to only get better the more I blog so please continue being patient
